Take 543 acres in the grounds of one of Britain's most historic stately homes. Add two championship golf courses, luxury accommodation, a magnificently equipped Clubhouse and Palmerston Golf Academy all with the spectacular backdrop of thousands of mature trees and woodland. The Result? Quite simply, one of the finest and most exclusive golf clubs in the United Kingdom, Brocket Hall Golf Club is a golfer's dream and a unique and private refuge from a hectic world.
Only 22 miles from central London (25 minutes drive), the Estate is also located close to many international airports and major motorways.
Brocket Hall is steeped in history and is the former home to two British Prime Ministers and has a rather unique English history which guests can enjoy on an exclusive use basis
The Estate boasts two of the finest Championship golf courses in the South of England: the Palmerston and Melbourne. The Melbourne Course opened in 1991 and was designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. This beautiful golf course follows the natural undulations and contours of the 18th Century parkland. The par 72 provides a most enjoyable challenge in stunning surroundings.
The par 73 Palmerston Course, designed by the renowned architect Donald Steel, wends its way through mature woodland. Rare Hornbeam, Scots and Corsican Pine and 300 year Oak Trees create some of the most spectacular hazards you are ever likely to encounter on a golf course. Together the Melbourne and the Palmerston at Brocket Hall must justly lay claim to being two of the finest golf courses in England.
In addition, the Palmerston Golf Academy includes a par 3 six-hole course that provides a useful short course when time is at a premium. Tuition is also available from one of our team of Golf Professionals who have a proven ability in teaching all levels from beginners through to professionals. Our professionals are now assisted in their instruction by a state of the art swing analysis computer, allowing each player's golf swing to be fully assessed.
Overlooking the Broadwater with superb views of Brocket Hall stately home, the Melbourne Lodge houses 16 bedrooms traditionally designed in the converted stable block allowing you to enjoy our luxurious accommodation while staying in the grounds of one of England's finest stately homes.
Also on the Estate is the only Michelin Starred Restaurant in Hertfordshire - Auberge du Lac, which is a delightful alternative to The Watershyppes Restaurant within the Golf Club House. Private rooms are available for 4 - 24 guests.
Combine beautiful surroundings with ease of access by air, road and rail.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Perfect Location.
