Back in the eighteenth century, the celebrated landscape gardener Lancelot 'Capability' Brown laid out Bowood's glorious 2000-acre Great Park. Two centuries later, Dave Thomas, the internationally renowned golf course designer and architect, created a championship course that weaves its way round 200 acres of Bowood's mature woodland. Their combined talents have resulted in a golfing venue that, within three years of its opening, Golf World magazine listed among the Top 50 Golf Destinations in Europe.

While forward tees and generous fairways make the course just as appealing to the less experienced and all will appreciate Bowood's excellent practice areas: the three-hole Academy Course, undercover floodlit driving range and two putting greens.
The same style and quality extend to Bowood's off-course facilities. The Clubhouse is a lovingly-converted eighteenth-century farmhouse, complemented by a fully-stocked Pro Shop and Spike Bar.
