Nestling just 3 miles south of the North Yorkshire seaside resort of Saltburn By The Sea on the borders of the North Yorkshire moors Hunley is a fine example of a Country House Hotel. With its spacious 28 en-suite bedrooms, some with sea views overlooking our golf course. Hunley preserves the feel of a country house, with every modern comfort, such as high speed internet access. The hotel offers conference, weddings, private functions, and banqueting facilities, with various options available. Our cuisine is of the highest standards and is produced by a team of dedicated chefs using local ingredients. Lunches and dinners with 2 and 3 course menus in addition to the extended bar snacks can be enjoyed from as early as 7.00am up to and until 9.00pm
The Golf Club and Course
Rumoured to be the only golf course in Britain where visitors could see all of the 29 holes. Our course is kept in excellent condition all year round, providing a picturesque walk through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and a good challenge to golfers of all standards.
Morgan's course, named after the designer John Morgan, is a Par 73 championship length course. At 6510 yards off the yellow tees, the design reflects John Morgan's favourite holes played throughout his long professional career. Some holes are straight forward and offer opportunities for par or birdie; others are tricky with dogleg fairways, plateau greens or water hazards to test your accuracy. The Morgan's course is combined with nine holes to give two further courses the Imperial (par 72) and Jubilee (par 71) allowing you the opportunity to play all 27 holes during your visit. The new holes although built a few years after the Morgan's course are of equal maturity. Ponds and streams as well as trees, bunkers and gorse make for an interesting day. The Club is pleased to host Society and Corporate Days, which can be tailored to suit your needs. Residential Golf Breaks are also available and offer good value for money.
On site facilities include a well-stocked pro shop, several short game practice areas, putting green and a flood lit driving range.
