Venue for The 2010 Ryder Cup and home of The Celtic Manor Wales Open, a leading European Tour event. The Celtic Manor Resort offers exceptional golfing facilities including three stunning championship golf courses, two luxurious clubhouses and a world-class golf academy recognised as one of the best facilities of its kind in Europe. The Twenty Ten Clubhouse, which opened in November 2007, was purpose-built for the new course and will be a fitting venue to host the world's top golfers in 2010. It also offers its own restaurant - Rafters, luxurious changing rooms, a pro shop, spike bar, private member's lounge and balconies boasting panoramic views over The Twenty Ten course. The Twenty Ten Course (7,493 yards) The first course in history to have been designed specifically to host golf's most prestigious tournament, The Ryder Cup, this par 71 course is situated in the dramatic setting of the Usk Valley. It includes no fewer than six signature holes and was designed to provide a superlative challenge to the world's best golfers in match play conditions. The Montgomerie (6,294 yards) Designed by Ryder Cup legend, Colin Montgomerie, this challenging par 69 course features deep pot bunkering and some tricky greenside swales providing genuine hazards to the golfer as well as lending the course an 'inland links' feel. Spectacular views abound with breathtaking tee shots over valleys and inviting downhill shots. Roman Road (6,515 yards) This par 70 course varies from long open fairways and dramatic descents on the front nine, to a back nine that twists and turns through trees and across lakes and streams. The Roman Road course hosted The Celtic Manor Wales Open from 2005 to 2007 as well as the celebrity-packed All*Star Cup in 2005 and 2006. Academy & Pro Shops The Golf Academy provides comprehensive tuition options, with a team of coaching professionals always on hand. Facilities include a 28-bay driving range, practice greens, short play areas, video swing analysis, custom fit centre, residential and half-day tuition packages, junior coaching and a pro shop stocking top name merchandise and equipment.
