Belmont Lodge lies on the picturesque banks of the River Wye, upstream from the historic city of Hereford, only a few minutes away by car.
Belmont House, where the clubhouse, bar and restaurant are situated, dates from 1788 with extensive remodeling in the middle of the nineteenth century. The purpose-built Lodge provides attractive accommodation in thirty bedrooms overlooking the river and golf course.
The first nine at Belmont follows the line of the higher ground, from which there are fine views over the woodedHerefordshire countryside, to the hills of the Welsh border in the west and the Malverns, beyond Hereford, to the east. In the second nine, set in the valley, the River Wye comes into play on at least five holes, ensuring an interesting but fair challenge.
In addition to golf, Belmont Lodge has an all-weather tennis court, a bowling green, snooker and fishing (both coarse and game,) making it the perfect place for your golf break or simply a relaxing weekend break with all kinds of other leisure facilities.
The surrounding area is rich in little-known historical attractions, a wealth of attractive 'black and white' villages and wonderful walking country.
